Ordering your wedding stationery needn’t be a daunting task. We’ve compiled the following list of frequently asked questions and answers to make things simple. If you still need answers why not email us for advice at email@example.com !
How much time should I allow?
You need to order your invitations at least 3 months before the wedding date and send them out 6 weeks before. When you order we send out proofs within 7 days, and once approved, stationery takes up to 3 weeks to print.
When do I order Reception items?
You need to order your reception items at least a month before the day, or as soon as you have all the relevant information (confirmed guest list, order of service approved by your vicar, menu confirmed by caterer)
When do I order Thank you cards?
You can order them when you return from Honeymoon, but print time is still 3 weeks, so you will not be able to send them out immediately. If you order them with the rest of your stationery you may be eligible for a discount.
Can I change the colours?
Yes – you can either choose one of the 4 different colour options in the Graphic ranges, or choose your own bespoke colour. Please send us a swatch to match to and an extra cost of £25 will be charged to cover new artwork and proofing costs.
Can I change the typeface?
Yes – we have chosen what we think works best with each design, but you can select any of the other typefaces that appear on our other designs.
Can I have the guest’s names printed on the invitations?
Our invitations are printed on a superior quality digital press and it would be too costly for each invitation to be different (ie with a different name on each). However we can personalize the Booklet format and name cards.
Can I change the size?
Yes – please contact us for a quote as this will increase the cost of your invite.
Do you produce other items of stationery such as Table Plans and Favour tags?
Yes – we can produce Table Plans in A3 size (£25) or A2 (£45) – these are unmounted colour prints, and you will need to check with your venue how they are going to display them . If you want any new items of stationery which don’t appear on our web site, just email us and we can produce it with your chosen design on.
If I order today, how long until I receive my wedding stationary?
You will receive proofs within 7 days to check wording and layout. Once they are approved you will receive your printed stationery within 3 weeks.
Can I order less than 25 invitations?
We impose a minimum order for Save the Date cards, Day and Evening Invitations, Order of Service and Thank you cards due to the bespoke nature of the printing and the set up costs it involves.
What if I haven’t ordered enough?
When you place your order you should take into consideration a few spares for mistakes and add-ons. Due to the minimum order restrictions, we cannot run off just a few more invitations.
Can I still order if I don’t live in the UK?
Yes – go to the International Ordering section of our website. We deliver throughout the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australia. If you would like to see samples before ordering – email us your requirements. We will let you know how much they will cost and you can pay by credit card through the paypal link on the International Ordering page (£3 for a brochure and one sample, £1.50 for each additional sample- to be refunded when you order)
What do your prices include?
Everything except delivery. Delivery is approximately £11 by courier, but this is only a guide as it may increase for very large orders and decrease for small ones.The cost of artworking, proofing, amendments at the proofing stage and VAT are included in the price (except Snapshot, Istock images and bespoke colour changes where extra artworking costs are charged). Where stated envelopes are also included.
I am having a very large wedding, can we get a discount?
Yes – we offer a 10% discount if you order includes any 3 of the following – save the date cards, day invitations, evening invitations, order of service or thank you cards. You must order at least 50 of each item and order everything at the same time. If you have a very large wedding, please contact us for further discounts that may be available.
Who do I get to check my stationery proofs?
For your invitations the bride and groom can check all the information. For menus you will need to check with your caterer or venue. For order of service you need your minister to look over the text.
Can I have proofs emailed to me?
Yes we can email pdfs to speed up the process. Wherever possible, please do not give a hotmail address as our emails are sometimes blocked which might hold up your order. If using hotmail, add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book so our emails aren’t treated as spam.
When do I pay?
Once you have approved your proofs and are happy to proceed we require full payment. Payment can be by cheque (payable to Scissor Paper Stone), or internet banking – we do not accept credit card payments over the phone.
