Choosing what you need
Many wedding stationery suppliers can provide you an entire package for your wedding day – everything from save the date cards to items for your reception and thank you cards. This means you can have a co-ordinated look to everything, picking out the same colours and images to accessorise your guests’ place settings and making your tables visually exciting.
We’ve listed below the items which most suppliers should be able to design, now all you have to worry about is your budget!
For the invitations
Save the Date Card
Great to send if your wedding is booked far in advance, so guests can make a note in their diaries
Wedding Invitation
Invites guests to the wedding and reception, sometimes personalized with the guests’ names typeset
Evening Invitation
Invites guests to your evening reception only
Reply Card
An additional postcard sent out with your invitations, extremely useful in getting your guests to reply in time, and if you need to know additional information such as dietary requirements
Guest Information Card
Make life easier for your guests with a printed card sent out with your invitations set up with directions, accommodation guests can book nearby and wedding list details
Order of Services
For guests to use at your wedding ceremony, containing your chosen hymns and prayers
For the reception
Menu Card
A stylish card with your menu details on with your names and the date of the wedding. Perhaps theres a choice at your wedding breakfast or you just want to get your guest’s mouths watering in anticipation – or you just want your tables to look really cool, and co-ordinated.
Place Cards
Either left blank for you to write the names of your guests, or typeset in a co-ordinating font and colour. They can be the usual stand-up cards, or flat cards tied with ribbon around napkins or party favours.
Favour tags
If you’re giving little gifts to your guests why not personalise them with a little tag tied with ribbon with your names on.
Table numbers
Your names, and the date of the wedding with either the table number or table name
Table Plan
Large boards with your guests names alphabetically listed next to their table number
Room Signs
Useful if you’re marrying in a large venue and need directional signage – make it co-ordinated!
Guest books
Have a book left on a table in the reception, so your guests can leave a personal message to you.
And finally
Thank you Card
Thank your guests for their gifts and sharing the day with you, leaving them with a lasting impression of your day.
